Full of Paddington’s signature blend of wit, charm and laugh-out-loud humor, PADDINGTON IN PERU finds the beloved, marmalade-loving bear lost in the jungle on an exciting, high-stakes adventure. When Paddington discovers his beloved Aunt Lucy has gone missing from the Home for Retired Bears, he and the Brown family head to the wilds of Peru to look for her. The only clue to her whereabouts is a spot marked on an enigmatic map. Determined to solve the mystery, Paddington embarks on a thrilling quest through the rainforests of the Amazon to find his aunt…and may also uncover one of the world’s most legendary treasures.

Video Quality
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings Paddington In Peru to Blu-Ray with a stunning 1080p video presentation that brings this world to life quite splendidly. The film dazzles with bold splashes of colors within the costumes, production design, and locales exhibited with noble saturation. The image is crisp and clear with a lush color palette. The skin tones are natural with an agreeable amount of detail present in close-ups, especially when it comes to the texture of age lines and makeup. The vegetation provides exceptional textural details. The presentation yields a wonderful amount of depth on display when exploring the world. Black levels are deep with no trace of digital noise or crush, and highlights are firm with no blooming at play. This Blu-Ray maintains the quality you expect from Sony, although it would have been nice to get a 4K UHD Blu-Ray option.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray comes with a lively DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that executes every distinct element without issue. Dialogue comes through effortlessly without being trampled by competing sounds. The soundtrack emerges from the speakers in a well-balanced way. The low end of the track makes a splash when it needs to. Kinetic moments thrillingly engage the surround speakers as the world at large feels completely immersive. There are numerous examples of ambient details expanding and grounding the setting. The audio track is an amazing presentation for this feature in all respects. Optional subtitles are provided including English, English SDH, French, and Spanish.

Final Thoughts
Paddington In Peru finds our titular character returning for another charming outing that will keep a smile on your face, even if it is the least impressive of the three films. There are some changes behind the scenes and in front of the camera that upset the alchemy of the prior two films, but this outing is far from a misfire. Olivia Colman proves to be an invaluable addition to the ensemble, and Ben Whishaw continues to bring a natural warmth to our hero. Paddington is a character that will always touch our heart in one way or another, and we are glad to have another adventure with him. Sony Pictures has provided a Blu-Ray disc that sports a stellar A/V presentation and a small array of supplements. Recommended
Paddington In Peru will be available to purchase on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 29, 2025. The film is currently available on Digital platforms.
