Senior Writer at GeekVibesNation - I am a 50 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove head first over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 18 year old boy with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes.

One of the first things to change when you get older, besides your hair, your waistline, and your sudden desire to go to bed early, is your attention to detail. It used to be one of the things I prided myself on. That an my razor sharp wit, but that is obvious. This was brought once again to my attention when watching Avengers: Age of Ultron. I admit it has been a bit since I last saw it and a lot of Avengers have gone under the bridge since then but there were details that I apparently missed. When Ultron…

For those of us who were hoping for the rumored Superman cameo appearance in Shazam! it is appearing more likely that will not happen according to Mark Hughes of Forbes: “It didn’t work out, getting Superman into Shazam!, apparently. Maybe that’ll change and they’ll be able to film something. There’s still a lot of time before it comes out, but as of right now there’s no Superman in Shazam! and there’s no movement on a Superman solo movie.” Fans who saw the optimism of Superman to be a good match for Shazam will be disappointed with DC Films apparent desire to…

With Simon Pegg currently out supporting his newest film, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, that doesn’t mean he won’t discuss the possibility of him soon being back on the USS Enterprise for the fourth Star Trek movie. As a guest on Larry King Now, he spoke to King about the next Star Trek movie. He said he had met the new director, SJ Clarkson, who is the first female director of a Star Trek film. He found her to be “just brimming with ideas and enthusiasm” and he expressed excitement with the possibility of working with her. Although Pegg knows he is…

For those us who felt the need to re-familiarize yourself with the “Infinity Gauntlet” comic series in the hope to better understand “Infinity War,” you were probably left with more questions than answers. I know I was. The first thing you found out was that “Infinity Gauntlet” was only a continuation of a another series. Those clever folks at Marvel made sure you would have to obtain the Silver Surfer series to see how Thanos obtained the “soul stones,” which was how they were referred to in that story. Marvel had long since discovered what Steve Martin in The Jerk…

There has long been a debate about how close comic based movies and television should adhere to the comics they are based on. It is Marvel Comics Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada belief that for these stories to be told in a way that would be fresh and attract new audiences, it is important for comics and movies and television to embrace the need to stay truly separate. He explains that by narrowing your choices to the comic book canon, you limit what you can do and perhaps lose an audience that you could attract with some changes being made.…

With the recent release Ant Man and the Wasp, we learned a few things. Ok, I learned a few things…picky, picky! (If you haven’t seen it yet, turn away now. Go on. Shoo!) Number one, we learn where Scott Lang was during the whole Infinity War saga. He was in house arrest for his involvement in the whole “Civil War” “Sokovia Accords” debacle in Germany. We also found out he is a great dad who will go out of his way to entertain his little girl. Who knew cardboard could make your house so much fun…unless your foot with the…

It seems that Dracula is still holding a grudge for the unfair murder of his wife. This season he means to get vengeance with the the aid of some new recruits and only Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso), and Alucard (James Callis) to stand in his way.  You can check out…

For those of us who are old school traditionalist and admire the original costume our favorite heroes wore, we were rewarded when The Iron Fist Season 2 panel at the SDCC unveiled a look at the iconic yellow mask. Does that mean the green tights and yellow martial arts shoes are next? A guy can dream can’t he? Besides what good is a cool dragon tattoo if you can’t see it. Now with recently dropped teaser, we get a better look at it as Danny and Davos square off in a tradition fight in “Kun- Lun”. You can see the…

Do you remember the scene from the “Polar Express” where young Billy hesitates to get on the train and almost misses it? Fortunately for him, the “boy” (how come this kid doesn’t have a name?) pulls the emergency brake so he can get on. That my friends is an example of “procrastination.” I know all about procrastination. I started out as an amateur “crastinator” but thru the years I have become the “Pro” you WOULD see before you, if you were looking at me and not just reading this. Procrastination is why I have been a late comer to many…

With the upcoming digital release of Avengers: Infinity War, the remaining three people who haven’t watched it can see what the fuss was all about. Spoiler alert: “It’s over in a snap…which is pretty good for a movie that is two and a half hours long. For those of us who have seen it, we can once again enjoy the Hulk’s two minute appearance before he hides inside Banner like a broken whack-a-mole who refuses to come out. I guess after being the Grandmaster’s champion, it hurts the pride when you’re slapped about like Loki was in the Avengers. One wonders…
