The Wrap recently reported that he is in talks with Paramount to play Tom Clancy’s character John Clark for an upcoming Paramount film series. Akiva Goldsman has signed on to produce the first film in the upcoming series. This film is being reported as an adaptation of Clark’s origin story novel, “Without Remorse.” In addition to his acting chores, Jordan will also produce the series with Josh Appelbaum and Corin Nemec. With the recent release of the Captain Marvel trailer and the success of DC’s Wonder Woman, female lead Superhero properties are being promoted to take advantage of the increasing interest in these stories. With that in mind, Variety reports that Marvel Television is developing a female-led superhero series for ABC. This new series, that is being tackled by Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg, has already received a production commitment from the network. The yet unnamed series will be produced by Marvel TV and ABC Studios with Heinberg serving as executive producer along with the Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb. In these early stages, plot…

Since the announcement of the possible Marvel Series being produced for the Disney Play streaming service, starting with Loki and the Scarlet Witch, I have been reading up on their plans. With Kevin Feige overseeing the shows, it seems clear they will be willing to spend huge amounts of money to produce some quality content and I am all for that. The idea of shows based on those characters who won’t be getting their own movies is an exciting prospect.  It would give those characters popular enough to warrant this kind of treatment an opportunity to be introduced to new audiences…

It When Nick Castle reunited with John Carpenter for the latest Halloween, he probably thought that might be the last time. As pretty much all Halloween fans know, Castle played the main protagonist known as “the shape” or more commonly referred to as Michael Myers in 1978’s Halloween, which was co-written and directed by Carpenter. Recently, Castle has teased that the two of them might be getting back together for another type of performance. For the past few years, Carpenter has focused on creating music and touring more than his cinematic efforts. When he performs, one song that fans familiar…

Disney itself has not commented on these reports. According to Variety’s sources: “Each series is expected to include six to eight episodes. Marvel Studios will produce the shows and Kevin Feige, the guru of all things [Marvel Cinematic Universe], is expected to take a hands-on role in their development.” If true,…

With the final season appearing sometime next year, Game of Thrones fans are gradually learning to accept the fact that their favorite show is ending. However, it appears that the franchise’s creator isn’t among those who HAVE accepted it. When speaking with Variety on the Emmys Red Carpet, George R. R. Martin was asked why it was decided that Game of Thrones would come to an end next year. According to him, he thought that the series could have had a much longer life, although the showrunners apparently didn’t necessarily  agree. https://twitter.com/variety/status/1041811172712796160?s=21 As Martin went on to explain, (and he would know)…

When Sony’s new version of God of War was released, everyone was duly impressed and critics viewed it very favorably. However, there’s at least one person who hasn’t been in any particular rush to see what all the fuss was about. That person was the director of the original God of War that debuted on the PlayStation 2, David Jaffe. During the “hayday” of PlayStation 2, Jaffe worked on a number of popular Sony franchises, including Twisted Metal. He also worked on the original God of War which started the franchise off with great graphics and gameplay, and became so popular that…
