Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Terry Crews Says 4 Episodes Were Scrapped & Show Is Deciding Which Direction to Go In

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the funniest shows currently on TV. Is there room, though; for a cop comedy in today’s day and age? While the comedy series is set to return, four episodes won’t.

Terry Crews spoke with Access Hollywood and revealed that four episodes had been scrapped. Crews revealed that Dan Goor had decided to scrap these four episodes after virtually meeting with the cast to talk about “what was happening in this country, and how the shift of consciousness is going on.”

Crews explained:

“We’ve had a lot of somber talks about it and deep conversations and we hope through this we’re going to make something that will be truly groundbreaking this year. We have an opportunity and we plan to use it in the best way possible. Our show-runner Dan Goor, they had four episodes all ready to go and they just threw them in the trash. We have to start over. Right now we don’t know which direction it’s going to go in.”

Police shows like Cops and Live PD have been canceled in recent weeks, but the difference is that those are reality shows. Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Law & Order: SVU are fictional. They also have the opportunity to start a conversation and surely will have to reevaluate their shows moving forward.
