Hodson received accolades for her Bumblebee script which many felt was the best film in the Transformers franchise. WB quickly tapped the writer to helm the Birds of Prey film which has yet to be released but many insiders say the film and script are terrific. With faith in Birds of Prey being a success, Hodson will also write the screen play for Andy Muschietti’s The Flash film and the upcoming Batgirl film. Both films could be huge for DC, especially the Batgirl film. Ezra Miller’s Flash film has been in limbo for quite some time but the studio seems confident in the actor and plan on moving forward with it.

With Matt Reeves Batman film going into production soon and Superman being on the back burner, it only makes sense to capitalize on the Bat family and get a Batgirl film started soon. Hodson will finish the script to the Flash first and then move on to Batgirl.
