Kevin Feige is currently making his rounds doing press for Spider-Man: Far From Home and he has not been shy about confirming things from Avengers Endgame being released next week with some new scenes and the current state of the Fox Marvel characters. While speaking with ComicBook, Feige also confirmed another huge pieces of news. Marvel Studios is indeed in talks with Keanu Reeves about joining the MCU. A rumor a few weeks back indicated Marvel might be looking at Keanu for Eternals, nothing has been made official. Kevin had this to say in regards to talks with Keanu
“We talk to him for almost every film we make, We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”
If the reports of Keanu playing in The Eternals are true then perhaps Feige is just waiting for the right time to announce it. Comic Con perhaps? Kevin also revealed that Marvel had spoken to Jake Gyllenhaal multiple times before finding the perfect role for him as Mysterio and that is what they hope will happen with Keanu.
Reeves is no doubt one of the hottest actors in Hollywood and studios are lining up to get the actor to sign on. Reeves has found tremendous success with the John Wick franchise which will soon see a fourth film, plus he is appearing in the video game Cyberpunk 2077 and is working on the Bill and Ted 3 film.
Feige was also asked about rumored actors Millie Bobby Brown and Donnie Yen but Feige said nothing specific was planned for them but they are both good actors and it would be fun to see them in the MCU someday.
