Former ‘Power’ Star Lela Loren Will Play Maguerite Olsen in American Gods Season Three

Lela Loren is best known from the TV series Power, but in the third season of American Gods, she’s going to Lakeside. Deadline reports Loren will be having a pivotal recurring role in the upcoming season of the Starz series.

Loren will be stepping into the role of Maguerite Olsen, someone who has become a trusted reporter for Lakeside’s local paper. While not originally from Lakeside, she’s become a huge part of the town. She’s a single mother of two and a property manager. As readers of Neil Gaiman’s book know, Lakeside is a huge part of the novel. The second season finale of American Gods teased Shadow Moon’s (Ricky Whittle) travel to Lakeside and with Loren’s casting, our Lakeside keeps growing.

Not too long ago, American Gods announced Eric Johnson as the Lakeside Chief of Police, Chad Mulligan.

The casting also keeps growing for American Gods season three, with Dominique Jackson coming in as Ms. World, Ashley Reyes as Cordelia, Herizen Guardiola as Oshun, Marilyn Manson as Johan Wengren, and Blythe Danner as Demeter. The third season keeps shaping up nicely and I can’t wait for it!

Loren can also be seen in Netflix’s Altered Carbon for its second season.
