We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in home entertainment week in and week out. For the week of June 13th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. One of the biggest releases of the week is the arrival of internet punching bag Morbius starring stone cold weirdo Jared Leto on 4K UHD Blu-Ray from Sony. Whether you genuinely love the movie or want to join in on the memes, you can now get Morbed Up From The Floor(b) Up from the comfort of your own home. The new release comes with an assortment of special features along with a Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos presentation.
If you want less subtlety but WAY more fun in your blockbusters, might we suggest you check out Ambulance from this up-and-comer named Michael Bay? We are more surprised than anyone to be recommending a Michael Bay movie so enthusiastically, but this thrill-ride with Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II finds Bay channeling his brand of insanity for good. It is not ALL intensity all of the time at GVN. We have two heartfelt dramas coming from Sony that are operating in different registers, but each starring leading men stretching their acting abilities. Mark Wahlberg is the tough guy-turned-priest in the real-life story Father Stu. An inspirational faith-based movie with copious F-bombs? What could be better?!? If you want something a bit more appropriate for the family, Kevin Hart is tackling a heartbreaking real-life story in the tearjerker Fatherhood. We love Hart for his comedy, but he really proves to have some range with his acting with this one.
