‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Production Put On Hold

MartinI am a 50 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove head first over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 15 year old boy with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes. https://mllkat63.wordpress.com

Steven S. DeKnight Politely Declines The Possibility Of Directing Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.3

Disney has made it pretty clear that they will absolutely not rehire James Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It has been well established that the reason he was fired was based on multiple old tweets of jokes involving pedophilia and rape that were unearthed and reposted on social media. Despite a large fan outcry and multiple support from celebrities, which includes the cast and crew of Guardians of the Galaxy, Disney has refused to reconsider and decided to stand firm with their decision to fire James Gunn. With Gunn out of the picture, fans have all attempted to

Why ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ Might be Better Without James Gunn

First, a firm and honest apology for the click-baity headline. Fact is, I truly feel there’s potential for a better GotG3. Next, let me be perfectly clear: I did not have sexual relations with that Xandarian. Oh wait, that’s a different thing. And a different person. Anyhoo, I’m a big fan of Gunn’s. Super was a heck of a crazy, dark film, his and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was the first popcorn flick since Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (the first and only worthwhile Johnny Depp pirate movie) that truly touched the child in me.

Like sands in an hour glass so are the days of James Gunn’s life! The ongoing soap opera that is James Gunn has taken another turn today. Earlier a huge RUMOR came out that Disney was scrapping his Guardians 3 script, Dave Batista said he would ask for his release if that happened, and now The Hollywood Reporter is saying Disney might use the script. In an ongoing battle of he is not coming back (Variety) to he might come back (THR) we really have no solid ground to stand on until Disney themselves make another announcement. About two weeks

RUMOR: Is Marvel Tossing James Gunn’s Script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’?

Before I say anything further, I would like to state that this news is purely a rumor and that although rumors can be frustrating at times, it is still important to report on them. Now that I put that disclaimer up, let’s move right along. By now, you’ve probably heard about all the news surrounding James Gunn. Honestly, it’s giving me anxiety. First, Gunn was let go for inappropriate tweets he sent out a decade ago came back to the surface. The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy all band together to support Gunn and ask for his rehire for

Bautista Will Ask For Release From Contract If Original James Gunn Script Is Not Used

If there is one cast member of Guardians of the Galaxy that the firing of James Gunn is hitting hard, it’s Dave Bautista. The actor behind Drax the Destroyer has been very vocal about his feelings surrounding Gunn being let go from Disney, which came as a result after old tweets of his were resurfaced. I do urge those reading this article to not automatically jump to anger, as it’s easy to do so in this situation. There are many different factors and every cast member is entitled to their feelings in regards to a man they’ve worked with for

Bautista Unhappy With Disney? Actor Speaks Out On James Gunn Firing

A little over two weeks ago Disney made the decision to cut ties with director James Gunn after some graphic tweets were uncovered.  The tweets were made several years ago and James claims he made the tweets jokingly but now admits now they were inappropriate. Disney’s Decision is Final; James Gunn Will Not be Rehired

This past week or so has been crazy. First, James Gunn was fired due to inappropriate tweets from ten years ago resurfacing, then rumors circulating that Disney was considering hiring Gunn back. These tweets in question include very inappropriate jokes; jokes that Gunn has seemed to apologize for both currently and when he was originally hired to direct the first Guardians of the Galaxy. This was a massive blow to the MCU community and has divided fans, between those who are saying to keep Gunn away and those who urge people to remember that this was over a decade ago

Yesterday the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy made a statement on Twitter regarding the firing of James Gunn last week. Hot Take: Should James Gunn Be Reinstated?

Disclaimer: This article is solely the responsibility of the author and in no way reflects the opinions of GeekVibesNation or their other contributors or sponsors. When James Gunn was released from his contract at Disney and lost his job directing Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.3 I initially thought, that’s a shame. Whatever he said must have been bad and moved on. I have since read some of them and they ARE bad, not funny and indefensible. They also happened seven to ten years ago. I realize there is no statute of limitations on free speech but it is certainly true that
