A few of my favorite things include my pet dragon (Drogon), Game of Thrones, Disney movies and theme parks, the MCU, DC movies, Star Wars, sports, and my rather large Funko Pop collection. Daenerys Targaryen is my queen, Robert Downey Jr is my man crush, and Simba is my spirit animal.

The 8th and final season of Game of Thrones was announced to be coming in April of 2019 today by HBO, and the anticipation is right back up at fever pitch. We return to Westeros in only 5 months, and honestly, I can not wait. So that got me thinking as to what exactly I need from the final season of my favorite television show to make me satisfied with the ending (but if we’re being honest, I’m going to be satisfied either way). Season 7 ended with Jaime Lannister leaving Cersei to go help Jon, Daenerys, and their armies…

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7701″ img_size=”800×600″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text] There’s no rivalry in sports that tops Red Sox-Yankees. The history, the hate, the talent, it’s all there. And for the first time since the Red Sox made their dramatic comeback in the ALCS in 2004, the two teams will meet again in the postseason. If you like baseball, you’re looking forward to this matchup. If you love baseball, you can’t wait. If you’re a fan of either one of these two teams, you could’ve seen this coming from a mile away, and now that it’s here, it has your undivided attention. It’s what both fanbases…

The last two American League champions will meet in the ALDS starting today and this series promises to be a good one. The defending World Series champion Houston Astros will take on the team that came within outs of winning the World Series two years ago, the Cleveland Indians. Both teams feature good pitching, but shaky bullpens, along with batters that can bust a game open with one swing of the bat. What’s astonishing is that this series isn’t even the most anticipated, but we’ll get to that in a later post. Nonetheless, while you’re waiting for Red Sox-Yankees, these…

The last time the Braves made the playoffs was 2013. Their opponent? The Los Angeles Dodgers, who won that series 3-1. Fast forward 5 years and these are two totally different teams. In fact, there’s only two Braves players that were on that 2013 roster: Freddie Freeman and Julio Teheran. The Dodgers feature 5 players from that team: Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, and Hyun-Jin Ryu. These are not the same teams as back then. The Braves are full of youth and led by two of the best young players in the game, and feature many players…

Now that the Wild Card games are out of the way, it’s time to get into the real business. While many people consider the Wild Card games the postseason (and technically it is), it seems a lot like a play in game for the actual postseason. So, while the Rockies beat the Cubs, the Brewers were watching and waiting for the winner. This’ll be a fun series between two somewhat similar teams. Milwaukee has a superior bullpen, while Colorado has better starters. Both teams have great batters like Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, Nolan Arenado, and Charlie Blackmon. With two teams…

For the first time since 2004, the New York Yankees will play the Boston Red Sox in a playoff series. This was confirmed after the Yankees beat the Oakland Athletics in the AL Wild Card game 7-2. While the A’s had a miraculous season, they weren’t favored against the strong Yankees lineup. With a raucous sellout crowd, and the dominant Yankees team, the A’s were over-matched, and could just watch helplessly as their season came to an end. The biggest question coming into the postseason for Yankees fans was…

What started as a pitching duel between Kyle Freeland of the Rockies and Jon Lester of the Cubs, ended as a bullpen duel with the Rockies bullpen proving their worth. Lester, who was fantastic, struck out 9 over 6 innings of work, but allowed one run; however, it was Freeland, who was pitching…
